With over 70,000 clients financed and a growing branch network, Tugende offers comprehensive packages that include insurance, training, safety equipment, and digital credit profiles. The company is hiring Account Management Agents across multiple branches in Uganda to manage client loan accounts, drive collections, and maintain positive client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with clients via phone calls and field visits, documenting all interactions in the staff app and CRM, and ensuring payments are made in line with agreed loan schedules
- Contact clients with overdue accounts and clearly notify them of outstanding payment obligations
- Escalate persistently defaulting loans to the recovery team with thorough documentation of engagement efforts
- Ensure all loan agreements and supporting documents are properly filed and readily accessible
- Resolve or escalate customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with clients during incidents such as accidents or illness that affect their payment capacity, and support insurance claim documentation
- Assist in recovering assets attached to defaulting loans when required
- Identify and communicate new business opportunities to prospective clients
- Retain existing clients by understanding their ongoing needs and gathering product feedback
- Record all client interactions in the CRM system and maintain accurate documentation of all agreed actions
- Adhere strictly to Tugende’s credit policy at all times

- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1–2 years of field-based work experience
- At least 1 year of experience in loan management and collections
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with lending products, financial services, and CRM software
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Professional, empathetic, and customer-focused approach
- Unquestionable integrity and commitment to ethical conduct
