Platinum Credit (U) Ltd is a leading regional microfinance company that provides emergency loans to employed individuals across Africa. The company is looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager based in Kampala to lead a high-performing sales team, execute growth strategies, and meet monthly portfolio and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, coach, and manage a sales team to achieve business growth and market penetration goals.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies aligned with monthly portfolio quality and revenue targets.
- Build a performance-driven sales culture through ongoing coaching, motivation, and team development initiatives.
- Monitor and enhance team performance through regular field visits, structured performance reviews, and detailed reporting.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, customer segments, and market expansion avenues.
- Lead and support marketing campaigns to grow product uptake and strengthen brand visibility.
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales initiatives with the organisation’s strategic direction.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies, credit procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related business field from a recognised institution.
- At least five years of relevant experience in microfinance and banking.
- Demonstrated track record of managing sales teams and consistently delivering targets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of microfinance lending practices and the regulatory environment.
