Commercial Officer

Kyotera District Local Government is inviting applications from qualified Ugandans for the position of Commercial Officer. This role sits within the district’s commercial services function and supports trade, investment, and local economic development activities across the district.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and support commercial activities and local business development within the district.
• Advise the district administration on matters related to trade and commerce.
• Coordinate with markets, traders, and cooperatives to support economic growth at the local level.
• Prepare commercial reports and maintain relevant records as required by the district administration.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the department’s mandate.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Candidates must satisfy the qualifications and experience standards specified by the District Service Commission.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to ethical public service and a zero-tolerance stance on corruption.
