Data Engineer / Data Platform Engineer

Reveloop is hiring a Data Engineer / Data Platform Engineer in Kampala to build its data lake and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and manage the company’s data lake and data platform
• Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python and modern data tools
• Build ingestion pipelines for databases, APIs, SaaS applications and files/SFTP
• Set up Raw/Bronze, Staging/Silver and Gold data layers
• Build reliable, testable pipelines with monitoring and recovery
• Implement data quality, lineage, governance, security and access controls

Requirements

• 5+ years in data engineering or data platform work, or equivalent demonstrated capability
• Strong SQL and Python
• Strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing and database architecture
• Experience running production ETL/ELT pipelines and a data lake or lakehouse; Azure experience (preferably ADLS Gen2) is preferred
