Kyotera District Local Government is seeking a compassionate and skilled Enrolled Midwife to strengthen maternal and newborn health services within the district. This is a public health service role that plays a vital part in improving birth outcomes and the health of mothers and infants in the Kyotera community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled attendance at deliveries and offer post-natal care to mothers and newborns.
- Conduct antenatal and postnatal assessments and refer complicated cases to the appropriate level of care.
- Counsel mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, family planning, and nutrition.
- Maintain accurate clinical records including birth registers and maternal health data.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control standards in all clinical practices.
- Support health education and outreach activities related to maternal and child health.

- An Enrolled Midwifery certificate or equivalent qualification recognised by the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
