Forklift & Material Handling Equipment Operator

Dalilang Foods & Beverages is hiring a Forklift & Material Handling Equipment Operator across its sites in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment before use (tyres, forks, mast, hydraulics, brakes, horn, warning devices, seat belt, battery or fuel system) and take unsafe equipment out of service
• Collect pallets from approved locations after checking load stability and fork position
• Keep controlled speeds, respect capacity limits and give pedestrians priority
• Take extra care around blind corners, loading docks, ramps and congested zones
• Stack and place loads according to procedure

Requirements

• UCE or UACE, or a degree, diploma, certificate or vocational qualification in any discipline
• Technical or mechanical training is advantageous
• Completion of recognised forklift or MHE operator training and company authorisation before independent operation
• Concentration, spatial awareness and respect for warehouse traffic rules
