IT Infrastructure Support Officer

BRAC Uganda Bank is hiring an IT Infrastructure Support Officer in Kampala to support servers, desktops, printers and telephony across production and disaster recovery environments, and to help manage IT assets through their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support installation, deployment, upgrade and troubleshooting of servers, desktops, printers and related operating systems and applications.
• Resolve infrastructure support issues within agreed SLAs and follow change management for major changes.
• Diagnose moderately complex faults and report findings clearly.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities and preventive maintenance of critical devices such as servers and UPS.
• Make sure computers have up-to-date antivirus and other security controls, and support the response to security breaches and vulnerabilities.
• Keep an asset register that matches physical assets and document IT assets to BRAC standards.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Office, email, print and antivirus servers and desktop resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science or a related field.
• About 2 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant knowledge: ITIL V3 Foundation, CCNA, A+, VMware virtualisation, server administration, SAN/NAS storage, backup, replication and disaster recovery.
• IT asset management, operating system and hardware setup skills.
• Analytical skills and MS Office skills.
