Protection and Referral Specialist

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is recruiting a Protection and Referral Specialist, based in Adjumani, to lead protection and referral activities under its ReSET programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery and quality of protection and referral activities across target settlements
• Supervise Protection Officers and give technical oversight to partner protection teams
• Make sure screening, case management, MHPSS, legal aid, community-based protection and referral systems meet standards and programme SOPs
• Build relationships with OPM, UNHCR, district authorities, national partners and refugee-led organisations
• Provide technical leadership of the programme’s protection services and closed-loop referrals outcome

Requirements

• University degree in social work, sociology, law, human rights, public health or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is desirable
• At least 7 years in protection programming (GBV, child protection and/or protection monitoring) in humanitarian or displacement settings
• At least 5 years in a technical lead or supervisory role
• Strong expertise in protection case management and training in GBV or child protection case management or MHPSS referral
• Experience with data tools such as Primero/CPIMS, GBVIMS, CommCare or Kobo
