Receiving Officer

Acacia Foundation Limited is hiring a Receiving Officer at its Matugga site to run the intake of used PET bottles for recycling.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the offloading, weighing and inspection of incoming used PET bottles
• Keep delivery documents, quality records, supplier details and weight slips in order
• Coordinate sorting to separate contaminants and non-PET material
• Track quantities received and rejected, and supplier performance
• Oversee stacking, labelling and transfer of sorted bottles to the washing line or flake production area
• Enforce safety rules, PPE use and environmental standards
• Lead and train receiving clerks, sorters, loaders and helpers

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, Production Management or a related field
• Familiarity with plastic recycling processes and materials is an added advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or inventory/ERP systems for reporting
• Leadership and organisational skills to manage a field-oriented team
• Knowledge of PET input material and basic quality parameters
• Good communication, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
