Receptionist

SIMBA Group, a partner of VAS Global Services, is looking for a professional and customer-oriented Receptionist to support front desk operations at their Visa Application Centre (VAC) in Kampala. You will serve as the first point of contact for visa applicants, guiding them through the process and ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience from arrival to service completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome applicants at the front desk, verify their appointments, and issue queue tokens
• Provide clear and professional guidance on visa application procedures and respond accurately to standard inquiries
• Direct applicants to the correct service counters and manage visitor flow to prevent congestion
• Maintain strict data confidentiality and follow all standard operating procedures and security guidelines
• Maintain accurate daily logs and basic operational reports, and provide general administrative support to the team

Requirements

• A minimum of a High School Diploma; a bachelor’s degree is preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in a customer service or front-office role
• Prior experience in travel, visa services, airport operations, or a service centre environment is an advantage
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general system usage
• Strong communication and customer handling skills
• Fluency in English and at least one local language; knowledge of an additional international language is a bonus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and work shifts when required
