Mpoza drops 34 points as Nabisunsa shock Pearl Queens to keep relegation fight alive

In a dramatic twist to the National Basketball League (NBL) season, relegation-threatened Nabisunsa Girls pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the year, dismantling the high-flying Pearl Queens 73-61 at the YMCA court on Saturday.
Driven by a spectacular, career-high performance from Abigail Mpoza, Nabisunsa sent a clear message to the rest of the league: they are not going down without a fight.
From the opening tip-off, Nabisunsa looked like a team possessed. They blindsided Pearl Queens with a blistering 21-10 run in the first quarter and never looked back.
Despite a short bench that contributed just four points and a staggering 29 turnovers, Nabisunsa made up for their mistakes with sheer grit and absolute dominance on the glass, outrebounding their opponents 55-41.
