Design Engineer

Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) is hiring a Design Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Take part in short, medium and long-term development plans for the transmission network
• Prepare electrical designs, bills of quantities, cost-benefit analyses and tender specifications for new transmission lines
• Prepare or review design calculations, specifications and drawings for transmission lines and substations
• Support identification of substation sites and line routes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or civil engineering
• 4 years in planning and design of power systems (transmission lines and substations)
• Autodesk professional certification and knowledge of PLS-CADD and PLS-Tower
