Group Financial Planning and Analysis Lead

Q-Sourcing Limited is looking for a commercially driven Group Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Lead to establish and own the finance planning function across the Group’s Human Capital businesses in East Africa. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build the FP&A capability from scratch — designing the processes, models, and governance frameworks that will underpin financial decision-making at the Group level. The role works directly with the Group Head of Finance and senior leadership to turn complex, multi-source financial data into actionable strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and own the Group’s annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning process, including templates and models covering multiple entities and currencies
• Consolidate financial submissions from Uganda and Emerging Markets Financial Controllers into a unified Group view
• Build and manage a rolling monthly and quarterly forecast cycle, with variance analysis that explains performance and recommends action
• Design and produce monthly management accounts packs including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow summaries, and KPI dashboards
• Work effectively with unstructured, multi-source data from Excel files and partially integrated ERP/HRIS systems
• Partner with country and functional leaders to support commercial decisions, pricing, bid modelling, and contract profitability analysis
• Develop financial models for new business opportunities, market expansions, and strategic initiatives
• Define the FP&A operating model — processes, calendars, templates, governance, and documentation standards — from the ground up
• Collaborate with IT and Operations to define data architecture requirements as systems mature and are upgraded

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant: CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or management accounting
• At least 3 years in a senior contributor or lead role with clear ownership of deliverables
• Proven experience building financial models, budgets, and forecasts in complex, multi-entity environments
• Advanced Excel proficiency including modelling, Power Query, dynamic arrays, and complex data manipulation (non-negotiable)
• Demonstrated experience working with unstructured, multi-source financial data
• Exposure to East African business environments — Uganda or other East African markets strongly preferred
• Prior experience in the Human Capital, staffing, BPO, or professional services sector is advantageous
• Strong analytical rigour, commercial instinct, and ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
