Head of School

The Aga Khan Foundation is recruiting a Head of School in Kampala to lead an international school.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote an educational vision rooted in excellence, pluralism, ethics and service
• Ensure high-quality delivery of the IB continuum (PYP, MYP, DP where applicable) and/or other approved curricula
• Foster innovation, digital learning and high academic standards alongside learners’ wellbeing
• Build, lead and develop high-performing teams and strengthen national capacity within the schools
• Act as a role model for professionalism and educational leadership

Requirements

• Proven senior leadership in high-performing international or independent schools
• Strong record as an academic and pedagogical leader with impact on learning, wellbeing and school improvement
• Experience across the IB continuum or comparable international curricula
• International experience, ideally in diverse or resource-constrained contexts
• Experience in financial leadership and budgeting
